Angelos Ch. Papaspyropoulos

Lawyer

Angelos Ch. Papaspyropoulos has been a practising lawyer since 2006. He collaborates with Thessaloniki lawyers Theoni Sgouraki-Papaspyropoulou, Konstantinos Logothetis and Aristeidis Logothetis, Larnaka (CY) lawyer Ilias Christou and Athens lawyer Nikolitsa Koutrouli.

He specialises in Civil Procedure (civil proceedings/applications/claims, drafting of appeals to the Supreme Court, representation and case handling before the Supreme Court etc), Civil Law (Obligations, Land, Inheritance), Enforcement Law (execution proceedings and legal advice) and Commercial Law (Intellectual and Industrial Property (representation of holders of national and European trademarks before the European Union Intellectual Property Office – EUIPO trademarks), Insolvency, Banking, Competition, E-commerce, complex commercial contracts etc)).

Angelos has acted as counsel for soccer academies master franchisee company JAG WINNING SPORTS LTD, on assignment of rights by franchisor Arsenal Soccer Schools, and is currently acting for the same company as assignee of GPS – Valencia and other private companies. As of August 2013, he is a scientific associate of “Applications of Civil Law and Civil Procedure” legal magazine (Nomiki Vivliothiki Publications). From October 2014 to December 2014 he was selected as a scientific associate of the Department of Civil Procedure of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Faculty of Law to conduct legal research and participate in the organisation of the joint graduate student conference on “Liability in the Exercise of Public and Private Power” at the Thessaloniki Faculty of Law.

Angelos is a member of the Greek Civil Procedure Lawyers’ Association. In September 2005 he was admitted to the Civil, Civil Procedure and Employment Law Master’s programme (LLM) of the Aristotle University Faculty of Law, specialising in Civil Procedure. He obtained his LLM in June 2009, scoring 9/10 (Distinction). His thesis on “Third-party Applications to set aside Enforcement Proceedings under article 936 Civil Procedure Code” was awarded the highest mark (10/10 – Distinction). In 2011 he received a Scholarship for Academic Excellence by the Research Committee of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for his doctorate thesis on “The Repercussions of Bankruptcy in Enforcement Proceedings”, supervised by professors N.Nikas, L.Pipsou and S.Psychomanis.

By decision no.18229/F.341/8-4-2020 (FEK YODD 343/6-5-2020) of the Minister of Justice for the “Formation and composition of a special legislative committee with regard to Civil Procedure’s Code amendments, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of the reformations in Civil Procedure’s Code applied by law n.4335/2015», he was elected in the afore mentioned legislative committee of the Ministry of Justice as a substitute member to the Professor of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Faculty of Law Makridou Kalliopi.
